Sylvester the slimy cat
Slithered down Where the boat docks frown In heavy shadows. And there he met His cousin Vet And together they ventured Up and down And down and up And scaled the ropes And riggings And owned the vessels Through and through And ordered the deck hands Up and Down And down and up And each of the men Scurried round and round And made themselves busy At the sight of the cats For they all knew That cats are the true owners Of all seagoing vessels. And when they were through, Sylvester and Vet, They blessed each ship And motley crew And each man knew That they’d come home safe To spite sea monsters And storms that brew For each was blessed By the boat dock’s best Of feline magic, Sylvester and Vet.

Don't give up.
Don't give in upon surrender, For we are not creatures Who do it naturally. And it is the only way To freedom. |
